Double Chocolate Derby Pie

Ingredients: – 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust – 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip – 1 cup chopped pecan – 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 3 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside. 2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix until well combined.

1. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth. 2. Gradually add the melted butter to the egg mixture, whisking constantly until fully incorporated.

1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth. 2. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

1. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly. 2. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
